Credits and Recognition

arrow Thanks to Rick Benton for starting the club's first website, establishing a roster database, and for collecting much of the content from the previous years' Photo/Video Gallery.

arrow Superior photography shot through perfect lenses at high resolution doesn't happen by chance. A big thank you to Tom Pfarr, Rod Jaeger, and Andy Kane for allowing me to use their photographs of the B-25 and the P-47 shown in this site's header graphic.

Tom Pfarr, webmaster of District of Columbia Radio Control Club, took the photographs with his Canon 5D SLR with a Sigma 50 to 500mm zoom lens.

Rod Jaeger scratch built both the B-25 and P-47 and these are BIG war birds. The B-25's wingspan is near 120 inches, while the P-47's wingspan measures 110 inches.

Andy Kane, president of District of Columbia Radio Control Club, flew both war birds low enough and at the right attitudes to help produce these wonderful photographs.

Their original photographs are shown below, and you can find all of their photographs here. (Note: After extracting the B-25 from the background photo, the plane was mirrored to face the opposite direction for a more eye-pleasing presentation in the header graphic.)
